Join Scouts Night Training is Coming Soon!

The year 2018 is going so fast we've got to think months ahead to keep up with it!  Join us on Thursday, June 14th, at 7:00 PM as we begin to prepare for the biggest, best, and most fun Fall Recruitment we've EVER had!  Our Join Scouts Night Training will be taking place at Liberty Christian Church (MAP: 2010 Liberty Church Road, Martinsville, IN 46151).

Why is this year's Fall Recruitment so exciting?!  We're going to reach out to more youth, offer more adventure, and have more fun than we've ever had!  How will we reach more youth?  We'll do it through two equally fantastic opportunities!  First, the Lion Cub program (serving Kindergarteners) is now officially a part of Cub Scouting!  As an official den, we'll be reaching out to Kindergarten families to invite them to join the adventure of Cub Scouting.  As an official den, there have been some changes to thinks like the Lion Cub advancement and recognition, which we'll talk about briefly at the training.  Second, we are able to invite girls to experience all of the adventures Cub Scouting has to offer!  We've all seen sisters hanging out at brother's meeting or joining the family for a pack campout.  Now these active young ladies can receive the recognition for being a part of the adventure!

We're looking to offer more adventure and more fun this year!  How do we do that?  By planning a quality program, of course!  We'll have information at the Join Scouts Night Training about annual favorites like the Cub Scout Shoot-O-Ree and the Webelos Challenge, but we'll also have a chance for your unit to sign up for its Unit Membership Plan meeting!  This year we want to expand these meetings to cover not just membership but also program planning and budgeting.  While you won't get everything accomplished at this meeting, we want to hit some highlights and make sure you know what resources are available to you.  A successful year needs a successful plan, and we're here to help!

Be sure to mark your calendars for Thursday, June 14, and we'll see YOU at Liberty Christian Church!

Let's Get Popping!  2018 Fall Popcorn Sale

Our annual popcorn sale is just around the corner!  Scouts all across the Wapehani District will be out sharing Scouting's story and raising money to support their fun and adventure for the year.  Our popcorn does more than compliment a classic movie - it can provide a Scout with the adventure of a lifetime!  The Cub-O-Ree Adventure, Philmont backpacking treks, and the 2019 World Scout Jamboree can all be powered by popcorn.  How can your unit make this possible?

Join us on Thursday, August 9th, at 7:00 PM for our popcorn kickoff!  Learn about this year's product line, find out what outstanding prizes there are for your Scouts to earn, and receive tips on having an awesome kickoff event of your own to get your Scouts and families excited to fund their adventure with popcorn.  This year's kickoff will once again be held at St. Paul United Methodist Church (MAP: 4201 W. 3rd Street, Bloomington, IN 47404).  We've had "Popcorn Man," Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and more join us in recent years.  You won't want to miss what craziness might be in store for 2018!

Mark your calendar for Thursday, August 9, and be sure to join us at St. Paul UMC - we can't wait to see you!
